Solar obligations: define effective and low-cost legislative mechanisms for solar market development

• The building permit process is in general very long, as it starts at the local level, but needs an approval at national level.
• For a solar ordinance to be introduced in the Lebanese law, a long procedure would therefore be necessary.
• Within MED Desire, a volunteer solar thermal ordinance will be introduced by the Union of Municipalities of Tyre.
